In 1999 the Trauma Coordinators, Registrars,
and Area Trauma Advisory Council Coordinators of Colorado began a journey
towards developing a statewide network for those interested in trauma care, injury
prevention, ongoing education, research, and the evolving statewide trauma
system. We have established the Colorado Trauma Network, Inc. for that
purpose. We have seen our hard work and dedication reach many of the
goals we set for ourselves. These include the establishment of an
elected council and officers, adoption of Bylaws, and attainment of non-profit
organization status.
The future holds even greater challenges and
opportunities for us as we work to further develop a mentorship program,
educational offerings in conjunction with other organizations, prevention
activities, and resource documents that will aid new trauma coordinators and
registrars. We also look forward to expanding our role as patient
advocates and promoters of injury prevention.
Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote the optimal care of
the injured patient in Colorado through injury prevention, education and
participation in the statewide trauma system.
